Bloom tracks the emails you send from Gmail and tells you which ones were really opened and clicked. Install the Bloom app in Attio and that signal stops living in one person's inbox: it lands on the contact, it starts workflows, and it becomes records the whole team can filter.
Add the Bloom engagement widget once to your people layout and it appears on every person. It reads the contact's first email address and shows what Bloom recorded for them: opens, clicks, when they last moved, and a badge that reads sent, opened or clicked. The same numbers you see in Gmail, with bots and your own views already taken out.
One click opens the whole history for that contact: every tracked email sent to them, newest first, and every open and click inside it. Automated opens are not hidden, they are labelled as bots, so a burst from a security scanner is visible for what it is rather than quietly inflating the count.
| Event | When |
|---|---|
| click | 2026-09-03 09:12 |
| open | 2026-09-02 18:40 |
| open (bot) | 2026-09-01 14:23 |
Email engaged fires a workflow run every time a recipient opens or clicks one of your tracked emails. There is nothing to configure: it fires on every human engagement in the workspace, and you filter downstream on the six values it hands you. Bot opens and your own views never reach it.
Each run receives recipient_email, event_type, status, subject, occurred_at and tracking_id. The last one is Bloom's stable identifier for that email, and it keys the record below, so a workflow can match one to the other.
Switched on from Bloom's settings, the sync creates a Tracked Emails object in your workspace and upserts one record per tracked email, linked to the person it was sent to and refreshed about a minute after each open or click. Because every write is an upsert on a stable key, an email is corrected in place instead of piling up duplicates.

Add the Bloom extension to Chrome, open Bloom from the toolbar, agree to what it collects and sign in with Google, then name your workspace when the dashboard asks. Nothing reaches Attio without this part, because this is what records the opens.
Open Bloom from the Attio App Store, choose your workspace, and press Connect. You land on Bloom, approve the workspace, and Attio stores the credential itself. Nothing to copy or paste.
On any person record, open the ⋮ menu, Configure page, Add widget, and pick Bloom engagement. Once per layout, not once per record. Turn on the sync from Bloom's settings if you also want the records.
The extension is the part that does the tracking, so it comes first. The Attio app is free to add whenever you want it, and the full documentation covers every screen, every message, and what Bloom stores.
